About RUF, Inc.

Renaissance Universal Fabrication, Inc. is located south of Douglas, Wyoming where the High Plains meet the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.  The company's founder is a native of Baltimore, MD, having moved to Wyoming in1989 to manage an agricultural operation; that endeavor required him to learn numerous things about living off-highway in a very primitive area.

He was immediately responsible for repairs and improvements to many mechanical processes and agricultural/vehicular equipment.  Quickly, he discovered the necessity for self-sufficiency in a harsh environment where Mother Nature seldom cooperates.

At Renaissance Universal Fabrication, Inc., we enjoy mechanical problem-solving, and love to meet and beat new challenges.  We have designed and fabricated a diverse range of items, from cattle handling equipment to firefighting vehicles and Unimog-based expedition campers.  We've also been involved in the design and construction of ultra-efficient earth-bermed passive and active alternative-energy homes, greenhouses, and hydroponic growth systems. 

The RUF, Inc. logo (below) exemplifies the design philosophy of the business.  The letters surrounding the abbreviated company name (pronounced "roof" or simply the letters "RUF") represent the Law of Seven Ps: Previous Proper Planning Prevents Pathetically Poor Performance.  Products and services offered by RUF, Inc. are engineered and constructed for longevity - quite uncommon in this time of disposable goods.
