Inside, you'll find joinery in American Cherry (other options available) and a spacious galley with plenty of storage.  Our cabinets are custom-built by Fox Creek Manufacturing in Laramie, Wyoming.  Fox Creek has work appear in publications such as "Wyoming Homes and Living" and "Log Home Living" and their build-quality is exceptional.

There’s a respectable pass-through between the truck cab and camper, a dual-stage latching entry door with deadbolt, and a large marine-grade roof hatch in the bunk for emergency egress.  Windows are German dual-pane acrylic with integral shades and fly-screens.  Wall, ceiling, and floor insulation is a respectable R-14.

Appliances include a DC compressor fridge and separate optional DC chest freezer, a Force 10 marine stainless steel 3-burner range with oven and broiler, and 0.8 cubic foot microwave.  Air conditioning, dual diesel furnaces, (air and hydronic,) sleeping for 3+1 adults, a convertible couch/queen bed, and a bathroom with cassette toilet and shower help provide the comforts of home.

Of special note is the standard Espar diesel-fired hydronic heating system, which shares coolant with the chassis engine.  This creates a symbiotic relationship between the camper and chassis, allowing the chassis to provide heat for the camper systems when driving, and the camper to provide engine pre-heating when stationary.  (Auxiliary diesel-fired air furnace optional.)

The electrical system is marine grade, with color-coded wiring installed in mil-spec loom.  There are ample sources of electrical power including: 430 AHr gel-cell battery bank, 1000W pure sine wave inverter, 340 watts of photovoltaic panels on the roof, 100 A alternator on the truck engine, and a 3.6 KW remote-start gasoline engine-generator (with inverter technology.) To help conserve energy, high efficiency LED and fluorescent lighting is used throughout the interior.

In these photos, you can see the Blue Sea Systems load AC/DC load distribution center.  All controls are mounted into a hinged panel, giving easy access should any trouble arise.  At night, individual breakers have back-lit labels...

Fresh water capacity is 80 gallons, which is stored above floor level in a heated compartment.  There's a 40 gallon gray water tank, and 3.5 gallon black water cassette, externally accessible.  Auxiliary custom 17.5 gallon fuel tanks for diesel and gasoline provide for 54 hours of generator run-time at half-load, and over 220 hours of constant run for the furnaces.  These fuel tanks are contained within the camper (fully protected, yet safely below floor level) allowing the camper to be removed from the truck yet remain completely functional.

The chassis features an optional 17.5 gpm hydraulic system with 15,000 lb. industrial planetary winch, auxiliary hydraulic circuit and optional windshield guard/roof rack for carrying a spare tire and extra equipment.

The AATREC cabin is built specifically for the Mitsubishi-Fuso FG chassis, and floats on a rubber-isolated torsion-free subframe.  The complete package is far beyond standard RV-grade; an extreme shelter built for extreme use, allowing worry-free stays in primitive locations.

No matter the destination, the AATREC- FG camper will take you where you need to go, keep you comfortable while you’re there, and safely bring you home again!
